Asbuilt Backlogs
Asbuilts tend to get pushed to the side and forgotten, sometimes its years before someone has the time to go back and update the drawings. Two things can happen, someone has important work to be done in a drawing and has to spend time entering the information before they continue on the new design or worst case, if someone starts a new project with out knowing there are asbuilts in the office, then time and money are wasted dealing with, first finding out the information was different and then the extra cost redesigning around what is actually there. Save money and have the flexibility too, the cost of a AutoCAD computer, $2,500-5,000 latest Legal version of Autocad $3,000 - $5,000 (plus you'll want to keep up with the upgrades ~$2,500 a year, and Lode Data (for Telecommunication Design) $5,000, then you need to pay your Drafter/Designer $40K + Benefits and Taxes.
